Myriam, the founder of Eco Fashion Week, came out at the beginning of the runway and spoke a bit about Eco Fashion Week in Vancouver and thanked us all for attending; it was awesome to see the face behind this amazing event and I loved the 3/4 dress she was wearing with bold red tights!
This was the last night that I went and it was fantastic. I saw my regular fashionista friends, spent a lot of time in front of the media wall and saw a collection made from cotton basics and accentuated with hundred of strips of film. It’s amazing to see the local talent of Vancouver not only show us their product, but what creativity they can work into it using reused materials.
That night, I wore a thrifted faux fur jacket, kimono, skirt and spiked Jeffrey Campbell foxys that I forgot were consignment.. see how easy it is to be trendy without buying items brand new?! It’s basically my favorite form of art and I enjoyed having Eco Fashion Week as my platform to show it off!
